was absolutely wonderful, I was so happy with my stay and I was able to go home in one day owing to the great care I received. The staff where getting used to the new bedside alarm systems so it wasn't their fault and I was very happy nonetheless.
i have been treated in a few hospitals and castle hill is up with the very best, thanks to staff on ward 9, and Mr Roy and his operating staff.
The staff have always been lovely but one of the staff is quite patronising toward me, she was better this time but I have come because I need help and her been the way she was doesn't make me comfortable I wouldn't be there if I didn't need or want the help
No further instructions nessesary
I was looked after very well staff very caring.
Each and every member of staff on the ward, from the tea makers, porters, receptionists , nursing staff and doctors were absolutely outstanding in every aspect. They all make every patient feel valued and cared for. My father, who is 86, has leukaemia. Every time we visit the hospital for either a blood transfusion or a consultation , he comes away feeling uplifted. He looks forward to seeing the staff again because of their positive and jovial attitude towards him.(The nurses call Ken and continue banter from the previous visit.)Dr Sahra Ali is his consultant. Because of my fathers age and vulnerability, I felt very concerned and anxious about how he would cope with finding out he had a terminal illness. Dr Ali delivered the information to him with tremendous sensitivity and was conservative with the prognosis details . She focused on the management and treatment of the disease, which made him aware that the condition is not curable, but with blood transfusions and a possible drug trial in the offering he still had time left to share with his family. I cannot praise and thank her enough. there is nothing negative to say about the whole experience of the haematology ward at the castle hill hospital , Cottingham. Thank you!
I had wonderful care, at all times, day and night.
I did not see one, there could be an identification chart of the staff uniforms either in each room or in the preadmission notes also, on discharge there could be a tick list of some form where the dicharge nurse could tick:- how long to wear TED STOCKINGS how long before a bath how long before driving etc. I asked the questions and was given satisfactory answered but by the time I'd got home ,got sorted there, I'd forgotten which was two weeks and which was six weeks. I did have my husband to put me on the right road but it would be easy to put a list of times in with the discharge notes.
That apart a very good experience and a really good team.
I was treated so well and treated quickly with very good care and attention with all of th staff from beginning to end
All staff brilliant and caring. A very nervous patient and felt reassured. Thank You.
The staff are dedicated and, although very stretched, never rush their treatment and all of them made me feel they were treating and valuing me as a person and not just a patient. All of the people - nurses, doctors and the wide range of other staff are outstanding.
